WAVES TEST

I disabled the first waves test because students were unable to correct it. I have created a new test and the code for it is:

Force and Motion Test

When you take this test be careful and understand that this testing site is using velocity in place of speed. As I have taught you velocity is speed of an object along with the direction of distance traveled. The formula for speed is v=d/t. V stands for aVerage speed.

Astronomy Test Prep

Opportunity

Your child has an awesome chance to improve their grade as well as get prepared for the PASS. Mr. Brooks was kind enough to set our school up with USA TEST PREP, which has some PASS like questions. I have created two tests for the students. One we took today, Friday April 15. The other the students can take for extra credit. I will be posting more tests for extra credit. Each test needs a benchmark code.

Data Tables and Graphs

Hi everyone. Time is quickly approaching for the "turning in" of Science Fair Display Boards.
I have posted a powerpoint (done by my student teacher) that explains how to create a data table and graph on Microsoft Excel. Please check it out. We will be taking students to the computer lab on Tuesday Jan.25 to create their data tables and graphs on Excel. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome Back

Happy New Year. We are starting Earth's structure today. I will post notes and worksheets as we complete them, in a folder labeled "Earth's Structure".
SCIENCE FAIR EXPERIMENT -
Jan. 21 Students will turn in their data table and conclusion.
I am selling display boards for $4.00.

There will be a test on Wednesday Dec. 15. I have posted all notes, plus the study guide with answers in the folder labeled THE SUN!

A cumulative test will be given Friday, Dec. 3. I have attached a study guide with answers at the bottom of this page.

DUE TUESDAY NOV. 30. Must be typed!!!

Nov 16 - Students need to turn in :
             Variables ( What is the manipulated variable, responding
                             variable and at least 3 constant variables.)
             Bibliography (rough draft)
             Hypothesis (should be written If ... then...)

Nov. 30 Research paper is due (Must have a title page, paper
              must be at least 5 paragraphs, must have bibliography)
            Prefer that it be typed with 12 pt font and either Arial
            or Times New Roman

Test

I apologize for posting this late. There is a test scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4. Students received their study guide with answers on Monday.

Science Fair

New Unit

We started our Astronomy unit this week. I have added a folder and all the notes and worksheets will be added as we do it. If I forget to add something please let me know.

BIG TEST

WE HAVE A CUMULATIVE COMMON ASSESSMENT scheduled for this FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15. It will include questions from Force and Motion, Waves 1 and Waves 2. Students need to study their old study guides and ask questions between now and then.

TEST WEDS

Study guide and the study guide with answers has been added to the WAVES folder.

Upcoming TEST

I have posted all notes for this week. There will be a test on Weds. Oct. 6. Students will get the study guide on Monday.

TEST

There will be a test on WAVES on Friday Sept. 24. Students have their notes and worksheets to study. They will get a study guide on Weds. Please encourage your child to start studying and ask questions if they do not understand.

RE-TEST

Students have test grades written in their agenda and need to present parent signatures to me tomorrow if they want to re-test. I will review and re-teach tomorrow and students will re-test Weds. Please make sure your child has questions ready.
